Another hidden gem located in the heart of the village
of Bronte is Denninger's Foods of the World. With 6 locations in the Golden Horseshoe to serve you they offer up some of
the most scrumptious foods available. Their specialty in international foods from around the world has allowed them to expand
their thriving business. I have been a customer there for years and love to pick up a sandwich and drink and head down to
the harbour for a quick lunch on warm summer days outside the office.
They carry a great selection of fresh breads and produce and are always serving it up with a smile.
If you are the type of foodie who likes a lot of choices, then Denninger's is for you, an amazing deli counter makes the
decision making process a little more difficult, as it is all so tasty.
Their meat counter will not disappoint, as the meats are raised locally, naturally and without hormones.
Aged beef for a minimum 21 days to maximize tenderness and flavour. Veal, is milk fed, which produces a milder taste and
softer texture. They quite simply are all about freshness. Their founder, Rudolph Denninger brought with him from Germany
a very strict set of rules and principles on what makes better food. Denninger's is most famous for their hams, sausages
and salamis which are still prepared today as he intended. For those of you short on time, take a moment to peruse their
"ready-to-go" meals, a healthy choice that tastes just like homemade. The freshest of ingredients make for a better
         choice than fast food take-out.
Planning
a party at home or even at the office, their catering service can meet all your expectations and budget considerations. Imagine
serving up your wedding reception foods from around the world rather than the same old selections available through more traditional
         caterers.
If you are out and about in the
village over the holidays, pop into Denninger's, they won't disappoint. I am getting hungry for their schnitzel on a kaiser
bun with a little dijon mustard.
